The 2025 Kiribati Islands Secondary Schools Athletics Championships (KISSAC) have entered their final stage, with key events held over the first two days of competition.
The President of the Kiribati Athletics Association, Rusila Tekamoutiata told Radio Kiribati News that the opening day featured finals in several track and field events. These included the boys’ 5000 metres, girls’ 800 metres, and finals in the long jump and shot put for both boys and girls.
On the second day, the competition continued with finals in the girls’ 3000 metres, girls’ 1500 metres, and boys’ 800 metres.
Rusila also confirmed that field events such as the high jump, triple jump, and discus have concluded with their respective finals.
The final day of the KISSAC championships is scheduled for today, wrapping up with the remaining event finals and marking the end of the national inter-school athletics meet.
