Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resource (MFOR), Ribanataake Tiwau, along with the Fisheries Secretary, participated in the 10th Our Ocean Conference held in Busan, South Korea, from April 28 to April 30.
The conference focused on identifying effective strategies to protect and sustainably manage our ocean resources.
The event was attended by several high-profile dignitaries, including South Korea’s Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, Honourable Kang Do-Hyung; former U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry; the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for the Ocean, Ambassador Peter Thompson; and Honourable Ministers from around the world, including representatives from the Blue Pacific region.
